Episode 27: Leslie Bassett (Pt.1)
Leslie Bassett is one of the most respected and honored composers of our day. On his wall hangs a Pulitzer Prize and the Prix de Rome. Incredible. He is especially adored by the trombone community. He has provided us with rich, interesting, creative, and substantial literature for both soloist and trombone ensemble.
He was kind enough to let me visit with him…..and I will never forget it. I smiled all the way home, through rush hour traffic.
Please visit him on the Web (and do buy his music. You will find it money well spent.) http://lesliebassett.com/
