Maestro George Del Gobbo celebrates 20 years with the Columbus Symphony Orchestra this year in Columbus, Georgia. The regular trombone section in that orchestra is Mark McConnell and Ed Nicholson, tenor trombones, and Richard Brady, bass trombone. They are one of the tightest and most finely tuned sections you will ever hear. Once in a while, I have the honor of “subbing” for one of those guys.
