Episode 90: “Miss K”, teacher par excellence!
“Miss K” (a.k.a. Areta Kalogeras) retired last month after 33 years with the North Hills School District. She was a tremendously positive influence on my life and for many of my friends, too.
It’s obvious in her speech and her actions that she was born to teach. She’s an amazing woman……filled with wisdom, patience, humor, wit, compassion.
It was my honor to perform on her last concert with the High School and it is my pleasure to introduce her to all of you. For all of those who aspire to be great educators…..listen up. She is one of the best.
